For my Significant Writing Project, I chose our second paper. I will be comparing it to the final draft of my entry prompt, in order to view my growth. The second paper prompt captivated me the most out of the three, and I believe this is a reason for my effort. However much I do enjoy my second paper, I do believe that it could be improved. I didn’t really have a first draft, so much as a rough outline, which is how I have been referring to it. I used to find myself struggling while trying to write rough drafts, however, recently I believe I have been able to maintain a stronger baseline. That being said, I believe my revising strategies have gotten stronger. I think this paper reflects strategies of revision because, although there wasn’t much to necessarily revise, I shifted the outline that I made for myself, and after typing the full paper, I was able to revise again and again. I have confidence in my own local and global revision, as I always take on a concept from many different angles, ensuring clarity. The final draft was produced with clarity and conciseness, due to my own revisions of local and global alike. I found growth when viewing both papers. Although I had a stronger first draft for my entry prompt, I believe my final essay in my Significant Writing Project truly shined the brightest.
