Hi, I’m Isabel from East Longmeadow, MA. I’m currently studying Aquaculture and Aquarium Science at UNE; with a hope that I will one day be able to help our tarnishing aquatic environments. English class has never been a favorite of mine, as a STEM major. Favoring a hands-on learning environment, I feel as though when I write, I’m not expressing my full potential. Within this ePortfolio, I hope to use it as a learning platform to exercise my connection between class assignments and technology. As social media becomes further integrated in today’s culture, it should be seen as a helpful tool in expanding the minds of future generations.
My relationship with writing has never been very joyful. While I quite enjoy having verbal discussions, I have always had complications with being able to physically express my thoughts. And, boy, do I have a lot of them. I believe that when I am writing an assignment for class, I become overwhelmed and overthink my entire paper. Needing to address so many different topics all within a certain number of words and pages… it all just becomes muffled. With this blog, I strive to change my mindset to writing for my personal growth rather than writing for completion.
